 Post subject: Dialing a conference call number

Has anyone had an experience where, when dialing into a conference call and then dialing a con call entry code number the numbers dialed are not recognized? Ex. - Dialing the code "123456" gets a response "You have dialed an incorrect number - 1223456" and then subsequent attempts returns the same error only specifiying that another number in the sequence was dialed incorrectly (1234456, 1234556, 1123456, etc....)?? The numbers are being dialed correctly and I'm pretty sure it's a back-end problem but wanted to check this forum first.

This occurs when the DTMF tones for dialing are very loud and routed to the PA
speakers. The loud DTMF tones are overdriving the echo canceller in the unit, which
distorts the tones and results in wrong number dials.

It can also cause double digit dailing. The original key push creates the tone electronically and then the mics hear the tone played out of the PA speakers and re sends the tone to the telephone system. This causes a 9 (outside line) then 1 (US long distance) key sequence to appear to the telephone system as 9-9-1-1 (the emergency response number).

These errors can be corrected in the Converge Pro TH20, Converge Pro 840T and
Converge Pro 880T by bringing down the DTMF level.

I don't think it's a DTMF audio issue but more of a network glitch. try contacting their customer service to see what they do or say. Anyway, what conference call services do you use?

The conference call service is Intercall.
